Snow!!!!!!

About a week ago, we got almost three feet of snow!!  I had some fun trekking through the yard and taking pictures of random snow covered areas.  Here's what I came up with.....

 (Poor Banjo had to hop through the deep snow, unless there was a path we had shoveled for him or he followed behind in our tracks...)

It's amazing how much this picture of snow looks like white sand up close....

Streams, Flames, and Berries

Okay, that may seem like a strange title to you, but that's all I could come up with.  These are pictures I have taken the last couple of days...

The first four are pictures I took when taking a walk on a Sunday afternoon with Banjo..

The last three are of coals and flames from our fireplace that I took yesterday...

(right) is a picture I took this morning of frost on the grass.  Brrrr....... it was cold out!!

Double Exposure

 The other night, my family and I were looking at some old family photos.  There were some cool pictures in the albums that my dad said were done using double exposure.  This made me curious - I wondered if there was a way I could make double exposure pictures.....  Well, I knew that I couldn't do it on my camera like photographers used to do, but I found that I was able to do it on Photoshop.  

           Here's what I came up with.  :)

Living Room Set Up

  Okay...Well, I might be having a little too much fun with my new camera and different props - but I can't help it, it's fun!     This time I set up in our living room, so I had to move a sofa and hang a sheet up for the background as well as for the floor, then I added some apples, a pumpkin, some Indian corn, and a basket.  (For the fall pictures anyway)...  For the Christmas looking one, I used different sheets and some Christmas balls.














                                                                                                                               

Fall fun

 I took some pictures today with my new camera and strap.. With the help of my little sister, Banjo, and some flowers, I took some pictures. I think they turned out pretty good!!

It took some time setting up the 'props' but in the end it was a lot of fun!  I stacked some old wood up for the background to make it look like old barn wood and then I added three pumpkins, a hay bale and Ta-da! You have a fall looking picture.

Up grade

 Well, I'm sooo happy to announce that I got a DSLR camera for my birthday!!!!!  It's a Canon Rebel T2i/EOS 550D and I really like it!!  I have only taken a few pictures with it so far, because the camera strap I ordered for it hasn't arrived yet, and I really, really, really don't want to drop it!      Hopefully I'll be posting some pictures I will take with it later. :)
